Thank you for visiting HP of Nagemeno-Kai. There are many different things that would be identified as “Japanese culture”. If you are interested in traditional Japanese culture and especially Koto and Shamisen music, then you have reached at the right place to start! Some basic information is set out below. “Education of music” is what I am interested in most. Over the last 20 years, I have been teaching Koto at Shinobugaoka High School in Tokyo.
To whom lessons are offered?: Anyone who is over age of 7 and can speak and read (especially numbers in Kanji) basic Japanese.
Venue: Walking distance from JR Shibuya station.
Lessons: All lessons will be for 60 minutes, one-on-one and seated on a chair. You can take lessons up to four times per month.

Instruments: We have Koto and/or Shamisen ready for lessons. For Koto, you will need to make you own Tsume and we will provide the necessary information/assistance to have them ready for you.
